Your right to vote isn't automatic. If you are eligible to vote you need to get registered with your local election authority and maintain your registration status. If you move or make other big changes, you will need to ensure that your registration is up-to-date and accurate. We've made it easy for you to get registered to vote with our partners at National Voter Registration Day. Help put libraries on the policy map in 2024 and exercise your right to vote.
Register to Vote | Check Your Registration | Find What's on the Ballot
The EveryLibrary Institute, through our VoteLibraries initiative, has partnered with the League of Women Voters to provide a dedicated Vote411 page to help you register to vote, check your registration, and find what's on your local ballot.
Your local public library is the best resource for you to get current information and connections about voting. In certain states, the library staff are official Voter Registrars, which means they can ensure your voter information is current, correct, and submitted to the proper election authorities. If you need to be sure, stop by your local library.
